How did you discover HLTB?

One random day, I decided that I wanted to log all my game playthroughs when I was starting to play games again after choosing to stop watching anime as I got bored of it. I was using Myanimelist to log anime so I wanted to do the same with games. Turns out this site is perfect for it and I've been using it ever since.

Xbox has HLTB times so that was where I found this place

I was looking for a long-term way to log my game times and track what games I owned/completed/played/disliked. One option was Backloggd, but the website design felt messy to me - personal taste. HLTB's more structured design helped me to quickly sort my games, especially thanks to being able to look up my steamID to hotkey my games into different parts. I'm sticking around and socializing with a few members now (thanks to the wonderfully active Discord) and hope to see HLTB run forever; worst-case, I get to export a CSV for future-proofing.

I randomly found it while wondering how long the original Kingdom Hearts was back when I played in it in 2013 on the HD Remix on PS3. I was depressed after failing to become a game dev all though I am happy in retrospect. Regarding KH1, I was really not liking the game at the time and I was wondering how long it was since it was like a chore I didn't want to do and KH was a series no one would shut up about, I basically found this site because I was wondering, "how much is left?" Then I started to form an account on here since tracking a backlog on pen and paper was becoming a huge pain and I needed something easier and simpler to manage. It was either Backlogged or this but the community and the interface on this site I vastly prefer by a large margin.

I found it because I make PCGamingWiki articles and I saw website all the time. I never really paid much attention because I didn't know you could keep track of backlogged games and stuff like that.

I was looking up backlog randomisers because I couldn't decide what to play and came across this site.
