I see that the website has added a check box for DLC. Are we supposed to check that box or add the DLC as a separate game? I don't understand what is right. For example TMNT: Shredders Revenge has one DLC listed as a separate game I can catalog as a play through, but this website is missing the other DLC. Are you guys cataloging DLC as separate completion or just adding it as a check box on the completion of the original game? If the latter is true I would have to go back and change a few things from my database.

I do both. I check the box in the main game to indicate that it includes the DLC time for my overall completion, and I also submit the individual DLC times separately.

My understanding is that the dlc flag on the main game is to prevent people posting inflated times without some indication of this. I’m not sure if there is any weighting applied to such entries.

I guess it’s also useful if DLC can make the game easier or quicker without adding extra playable content, like stat boosters or powerful weapons.

Some games integrate the dlc into the main game or look like normal side quests so it can sometimes be difficult to keep track so that’s another use.

If you catalog your dlc separately, which is the intended method, you don’t need to use that flag. I think it’s meant as a fallback rather than the preferred method.

In the case of missing DLC (assuming it adds playable content) then feel free to submit it using the link in the header.
