I watch a lot of movies, so I usually only see anime films. I haven't really seen a lot of anime tv series, but I did watch Future Boy Conan a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed it

I have watched tons of Anime, I watch majority of them subbed, with a few exceptions like Inuyasha and Cowboy Bebop.. Currently I am watching Attack on Titan, Rewatching Cowboy Bebop(I do this yearly almost I love that anime). I am watching Bleach(I started it a few months ago, it has ups and downs I almost done) I do watch Naruto though lately the amount of filler has put it on the back burner. I recently watched SAO and I thought it was alright had real good points and not so good points.

Anyone who like anime even a little I would highly recommend attack on titan, it is amazing so far.

Heh. More like it has one really big up at the beginning, and then after about 50 rather entertaining episodes it has its downs, further downs, and when you think it's impossible to get worse, it hits the bottom and keeps digging as quickly as it can for the center of the earth for 150 more episodes. I watched most of the series on 1.5x fast forward and regret even doing that, but I had nothing better to kill time when I was sick and was in a masochistic mood.

I haven't been watching much lately even though I have a list I've been meaning to get through. The last one might've been Princess Tutu back toward the beginning of the year. That was pretty great.

I agree with this on some points, the beginning is the best. I tend to watch an episode while im doing cardio at the gym, or 1 or 2 episodes before bed on my ipad. Just like most Shonen style anime it drives me nuts how they spend 2 episodes telling each other what their moves are then they get countered and are shocked. I am enjoying the current arc that was interrupted by the zanpakuto rebellion (thankfully I just finished that filler)

Oh man, they don't quite get to DBZ levels, but toward the end they start dragging some fights out to three or four episodes that would've taken a single episode earlier on, and they do a 5+ minute recap at the beginning of each one instead of the normal 60 seconds. It gets ridiculous. By skipping the opening and closing credits and all the recap stuff from previous episodes, plus watching at 1.5x speed, I was able to make it through most of those in ~12 minutes each without missing anything, that's how padded they were.

Ya, I always skip the recaps and I am like so this 24 minute episode is now 15 min. I will finish the series just to finish it, have like 100 episodes left, and dragging out fights is why I can't stand DBZ I am one of the few who enjoy anime who have never finished that because it was just so tedious and annoying.

Of course I've seen that, everyone has. It's really good
I'd have to say my favorite Studio Ghibli film is a tie between Kiki's Delivery Service and Only Yesterday though. Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata are great. Although I think my favorite Isao Takahata film is actually Chie the Brat, which he directed before Studio Ghibli was even formed.
I really enjoy Hayao Miyazaki's pre-ghibli work at Toei Animation too. Animal Treasure Island is a lot of fun

You're not alone. I hardly watched any of it for the same reason.

Speaking of movies, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time randomly came to mind. That one was pretty good too.

I am a pretty serious anime fan, I've been collecting anime since the early 90's all the way to the present.

The last three series I've watched were...

Pyscho-Pass
This was a fantastic cyberpunk thriller series that I adored, best series I've seen in years.

Real Drive
This was an interesting series due to its representation of the internet as an ocean, with hackers being divers and such.

Girls Und Panzer
Definitely a guilty pleasure but I'm a fan of pretty girls combined with technology (i.e. Sky Girls, Strike Witches, GITS, etc.)

Well I am always watching something at any rate. Probably Himitsu next.

Not a huge anime fan. Lately I watched Evangelion (mindblowingly amazing), Elfen Lied (lots of blood, nudity + it's a hearttouching anime), Cowboy Bebop (just like Firefly the anime which is great!) and Death Note (favourite anime of all time, it's just the best IMO). I am going to watch Attack on Titan soon, really excited. I have been rocking out to the intro theme. If the series is as good as the intro song I am all in! :D

I watched the first couple episodes of The Mysterious Cities of Gold recently, it's pretty cool. I especially like the live-action documentary segments, makes things a lot more interesting.

So I have finally caught up a couple Animes...Caught up on naruto SHipuden (now that filler has been done for like 2 months I have a reason to watch it again) I also completed Attack on Titan and am looking forward to the next season. Anyone who enjoys anime, I cannot recommend attack on titan enough, it was really really good best anime of this year for sure. Now I am probably going to finish up bleach as that has been in my queue for awhile, though I am 2/3 through it and past the best parts so gets tough to watch sometimes.

I also finished sword art online, first half was real good then it got kind of meh, reminded me slightly of .hack.

I agree crunchyroll is fantastic been a premium member there for awhile so if anyone wants a guest pass let me know and I would be happy to post it on here when I get them.

I finally got around to starting Revolutionary Girl Utena after...what is it now? Only a decade and a half? I kind of put that one off for a while. I think it's probably good, but I also think I've probably been watching too many episodes at a time, because they're starting to blur together because of how similarly structured they all are. I kind of feel like what I've seen so far could've been done in half as much time as they've spent on it, but I'll see if I still feel that way after I finish it and have had a chance to see/think about all the symbolic stuff going on in it that people have told me about.

Oog. I finished Revolutionary Girl Utena, and it sure was something. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but after having finished it, pretty much everything in the show ended up having meaning in hindsight, even the filler-y episodes that I thought could've been dropped. The one I originally thought added the least to the story eventually led me to my most surprising/uncomfortable realization later on. It's that kind of show. I watched the movie too, which is kind of like an alternate version of the story, and it just doesn't quite work trying to cram it into 90 minutes, even with major changes. It does up the weird factor by a lot and relies even more on symbolism though, so that's something.

I just discovered that there's been an entire season of Minami-ke since I last checked, plus a couple OVAs, so that's been fun over the past couple days. I started watching it back whenever almost entirely because I saw this image somewhere (and that is not much of an exaggeration; I only really checked that it also had positive reviews):

User Image

It turned out to be fairly entertaining, so I stuck with it. On a related note, DuckDuckGo is officially an awesome search engine. I put "I am boss" into it, and this is what came out:

Google and Bing both do manage to find the right thing eventually, but only indirectly, and they're biased toward rap lyrics in their results. DDG nails it on the first try using a phrase from a mildly memetic screen capture from a few years ago. Heh.

On a less related note, it's a shame the spoiler tag just blacks out text instead of collapsing everything inside it like on some sites so I can't use it on the images.
