Video Game Sales Thread

I enjoyed reading the Steam sale topic, and I think something like this would be nice to have all year round. Sure, there are sites like Cheap Ass Gamer etc. but they have a lot of noise, plus I'm also specifically interested in your finds and recs.

IMO their bundles have been sort of hit and miss lately, but this one has not only Puzzle Agent - which I totally forgot to get during the Steam sale - but also the entire Geneforge saga, which offers a ridiculous amount of oldschool RPG gameplay. I've been meaning to get it, because I'm always interested in unconventional magic-themed games, but the series bundle was a bit pricey. Now I can get it for cheap!

Also, it looks like Amazon is going to have a daily deal on the FFXIII-2 collectors edition in about three hours, we've just started playing this game - my brother bought it two weeks ago in a local shop, also on sale - and our initial impressions have been favorable (the collector goodies are also nice, but I could've used MORE audio :D )

I picked up the Royale bundle... I already owned Puzzle Agent, but none of the rest! I'm looking forward to playing Geneforge and Oniken... and maybe even Unepic a little.

I got pretty excited this weekend when I saw FF13-2 on sale at Target for $20. Even though I haven't been able to get into the first game, I felt this was too good to pass up. They only had 2 copies left and it was the first day of the sale... Good hunting.

In the sales department I usually use limits. Most of the time I use power up rewards coupons and hardly ever buy the game fresh on the market. Anything below $20 is great, $30 is reasonable, $40 is debatable, and anything above that is not.

..Aside from the one day a while back that Best Buy's B2G1 free on ALL games (new included) bugged out online and became B2G2 free. That was glorious. o_o

This week, Best Buy is having another Gaming Blowout. Highlights include Rhythm Heave Fever for $5, Rayman Origins for $10, and about 100 other items, so check the list and hope your Best Buy has what you want. (I picked up the DS Rhythm Heaven and DQM: Joker 2 for $10 each)

If you have an iProduct, Cave's having a weeklong sale on their games on that platform. Cave games include Deathsmiles, Dodonpachi Resurrection, and others.

Ah, nice! I wanted to pick up the DS and Wii Rhythm Heaven games. Looks like I was too slow on this one though, as they can't be shipped anymore.

Just got Fable 3 for XBOX 360 at Walmart for $20. It's been sitting at $30 for a while now.

I highly highly suggest you all check out cheapassgamer.com or slickdeals.net I have saved an extraordinary amount of money because of those sites.

Right now for anyone who hasn't played for whatever awful reason you haven't! Uncharted 3 is $20 on amazon.

Crazygametime.com has 4000 Xbox Microsoft Points for 39$ & 12 Months for $39.99. I've never heard of the site but people are reporting they are getting their codes and redeeming within 5 minutes.

I've never heard of the site, but I used my paypal. I always use it especially if it's a site I never heard of. Got my code immediately and redeemed it with no issues. I'd sign up for paypal if I were you, always great and safe to have.
