adding games

hi there everyone I'd like to ask can I add games to the site or not ?
I tried and added bleach heat the soul 2 into my completed list but it doesn't appear when I search
waitng dor the answer :)

ya, normally they have to be approved after they are submitted.

I believe I remember everdread saying he normally does it like mon-wed or something like that.

I believe the system was if 2 or more people submit an entry for a new game or if 1 person submits a time for new game to trigger adding it to the database. Maybe that changed though or maybe I'm wrong altogether. Either way the admin has a lot of work to do adding new entries considering the amount new entries that must get submitted each day, whatever system is in place it'll just take some time before they get added properly.

I hope this is so. I just added all my iOS games to my backlog and had to create a load of new ones. I really wouldn't want Everdred to have to add all the details for my crappy little iPhone/iPad games that no-one else will ever add!

I guess if a few other people do start to add the same game that is when he fills in the game page blurb and adds a thumbnail image?

I was wondering if it might be better if he allowed users to add game details/images for new games themselves, subject to his approval? That might save a bundle of time!

Yes, he said a long while back in the feedback thread that he changed it so that a game won't be added officially until either a person submits a time or if a few people add it without a time.

That makes sense. Requiring several people to submit a game before it is approved would kind of break the system, because that's very unlikely to happen for old and unknown titles. On the other hand it's also not really a protection against fake entries, because people could just create a second account to add the same game.

You can add games to the site (pending review) by clicking the submit button next to the search bar at the top, but it looks like both of those games are already on the site here and here.

Thanks for letting me know. For some reason when I searched for the first game it didn't come up. Helpful to know they're already there though.
