I got a GBA when I was around five and that was my introduction into gaming. My first few games weren't too fun for me because they involved reading dialogue which I didn't find fun. The first game I can remember enjoying was Madagascar.

The first ever game I played was Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive but the two games that I would say got me into gaming properly, were Pokemon Yellow and Final Fantasy X. Pokemon Yellow was the first game that I owned and it was the first one I completed, that feeling of reaching the end is one I won't forget. As for Final Fantasy X, it was my proper introduction to the RPG genre and showed me that games could have great characters and well written stories.

Dude...for the love of God, stop! No one can even read your own spamming posts because you keep spamming the threads you revived 3 hours ago off the recent threads list by your new spam.

I don't even know if someone else has brought this up already because you made the forum a mess to use with your incessant technically-on-topic thread necromancy spam.

Ruffling feathers is one thing. Posting a lot is one thing. Making it difficult for people to have a discussion about any one topic because you keep reviving 30 threads/day is just disruptive. Stop, before people less understanding and more respected than me get annoyed too.

I didn't really get into gaming until the Wii, even then I didn't fully get into gaming until Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

There were no rules against replying to dated threads. My responses are not spam, they are answering the presented topic.

It may be a mess to you, but navigating the forum is simple for me thanks to the website design.
You can have any discussion you want no one is stopping you.

It was objectively a mess. There was a ~48h period where the front page was almost entirely years-old threads where you had replied to long-dead conversations. You were burying all the active and current conversations, even if you didn't mean to.

Nobody has an issue if you're reviving one or two specific threads - and you're right there's no explicit rule against it - but it's good forum etiquette not to revive every thread you see just because you didn't get to tell us your favourite PC-Engine games when that conversation happened back in 2016.

...OR, if you want to tell us about them, maybe revive just that thread.

Because no one besides an honest-to-god bot has been this unilaterally disruptive. If you look at larger forums, you'll see that they do have rules against it, because otherwise people ignore forum etiquette >_>

That said, if he's done spamming threads, I've no problem with him. The damage has been mostly undone since he stopped, so this is a great time for a clean slate. There's a lot of conversations to be had if one just takes it slow :)

(I know, I know: "take it slow" and "forum etiquette" coming from me XD)

But also thanks, Ric! You can have half a heart from me <

For me, it was playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes with my dad at 4. I know I'm young, but I have played every day since then, only breaking for vacations.

Oh wow you’re rather young, absolutely nothing wrong with that though. That said now I’m feeling kind of old and I’m only in my early 20s lol.

I remember playing Lego Star Wars (which was the first of these style of Lego games) back when I was in 3rd grade. My youngest brother was probably 3 at the time and I feel it must have been one of the first games he ever played. Of course one time him and my mom played and deleted me and my other brother’s save file, which sucked since we just gotten enough studs to get invincibility. I still to this day never make my save file the first one (if they’re numbered like that) because of that.

I played LEGO Star Wars Saga some time ago. I beat it, but I realized that I hated the LEGO games even though I used to like them. But, I've been on an MCU kick so I did download LEGO Avengers on Vita. If I ever get around to playing it and find that the later games are better than the older ones, I may work my way backwards through the franchise.

For most it was probably when they played their first video game when they got into gaming. For me, I consider it when I became 11 or 12. I want to say Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is when I became more aware of gaming. I was playing games up until that point, but it was mostly Pokemon, some Lego games, Mario, and the other stuff my parents bought me at the time.

I think the whole situation of Zelda being a series that interconnected with each other fascinated me as a kid, and I remember actually going back to play Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on my Gamecube. Before that point I had never gotten past the web that was on the bottom of the Great Deku Tree in OoT because I was a dumb kid. Once I had figured it out I was ecstatic, and finally beat OoT.

Then I played Majora's Mask, and it easily became my favorite game of all-time and currently still is.

Eventually I will have heard of the Wii U(I don't remember where), and I saved as much birthday money as I could and bought my very first console, the very first week it came out too. My time with the Wii U is a whole other story of its own.

Even though I don't consider Skyward Sword as one of my favorite games, I still appreciate it for introducing me to gaming as a whole.

I think the first videogame I've ever played was Super Mario World on the SNES of my older brother.I think I was 4 years old and fascinated by him playing the game. He had a bunch of Games for the SNES including Mario Kart and Zelda A Link to the Past. I think one day i was playing Zelda I run around in the rain for a long time not knowing what to. It was still cool.
Later with an age of 5 or 6 I was able to get to the first dungeon and fight the boss there.
My first own console was the Nintendo 64 with Games like Mario 64, Mario Kart as well as Banjo Kazooie.
I've never played any Zeldas around the generations and my first Nintendo Console was a Switch a few years ago. Today I can't enjoy Games like OOT or Majoras Mask. I also had my problems getting into Breath of the Wild even though I love open world games.

After or during the time I got the N64 I also got a Playstation 1. Dragonball GT Final Bout, Tekken 3, Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot and some I can't remember. With this I was stuck with Playstation and unfortunately never had the possibility to also get a Nintendo Gamecube or Wii.

So there is not that one game that got me into gaming it were several gaming experiences over my whole childhood. Today I'm 27 and still love gaming.

I was about 3 years old and had to go to a hospital for a broken eardrum where I stayed in a room with another boy who owned a classic Game Boy. I remember at some point he showed me Super Mario Land and so that became the first videogame I ever played.

When i was 4 I got a Game Boy Color as a gift and my mother learned how to play Donkey Kong Country so she could teach me (she finished it hahaha). It will always be my favorite game and also one of my favorite memories.
