Replying to squadcar
To each their own. I value intention over accident. But that's a reflection of my personality and values. People with different mindsets clearly view the world in a different way.

Just completed my first playthrough. That was a rollercoaster of a journey. Loved it! Encountering my first other player I was confused if it was AI or real. It seemed to provide a tutorial. I journeyed with 3 players throughout my 2 sessions to finishing the game. I believe the first 2 might have lost patience with my slow play, but I honestly dont recall the 2nd. Perhaps I left them unknowingly. I came across my final companion in the mountain area. Neither knew what to do but we stuck by each other's side. Eventually we lost each other in the subsequent area. I waited for them at the end, but I didn't see them. Perhaps I was left behind? It made me very sad. Tears welled in my eyes.

When I first played I was alone but from the tunnel level I got a companion. I felt the experience was enhanced with a companion especially when in my case they were cooperative and stayed with till the end. We hide behind same stones and when I fell they fell with me. But then probably having or not having a companion just makes the game a different kind of experience.
