On November ___ I beat [or retired] ___ and gave it a score of ___.

07 – [Homeworld: Remastered Collection] – 60%
15 – Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak – 70%
21 – Q.U.B.E. 2 – 80%
24 – Marvel’s Spider-Man – 90%
30 – The Walking Dead: A New Frontier – 60%

Best
Easily Spider-Man. Despite too much open world bloat, the web swinging, combat, and storytelling are extremely compelling. I could get lost in this one for hours at a time.

Worst
Easily A New Frontier. A disappointing Telltale game. You’ve seen it done better in nearly all of their other games.

I looked up which games I beat or platinumed (gett all trophies in a game) on PSNP last month:

4th Nov - I Am Bread - Platinumed
Played this again after earning the Surgeon Simulator platinum this year. Enjoyed it

4th Nov - Venba - Platinumed
Relaxing game, interesting story mixed with cooking mama. <3

5th Nov - The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
Worst Dark Picture game. Started interesting but the twist was so bad..

7th Nov - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - Platinumed
A lot of my friends got the Plat for this game. Finally I gave this a try and it wasn't that bad, got it after 5 or 6 tries. Love the gunplay <3

10th Nov - Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - Completed campain on Normal difficulty
The last Ace Combat I played was on PS1 (Also loved it back in the day). This game surprised me a lot. Nice different missions, awesome graphics and soundtrack was great too.

12th Nov - Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed - Platinumed
WORST game (trophy wise), game itself was okay. Could be better. Graphics were nice.

12th Nov - Quake II - Platinumed
Enhanced Boomer shooter

12th Nov - Alan Wake II - Platinumed
My personal Goty 2023

13th Nov - Carto - Platinumed
A cute indie game where you change map via different tiles.

16th Nov - Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Platinumed - PS5 Stack
Last good Call of Duty

18th Nov - Unravel - Platinumed
Nice 2d jump and run with a yarn.

20th Nov - Lost in Random - Platinumed
Very surprising game. Reminded me a little bit of Alice: Madness Returns

21th Nov - Jet Moto - Platinumed
A cool ps1 classic racing game on hoverbikes

26th Nov - Valfaris - Platinumed
a 2d run and gun shooter with different bosses, awesome soundtrack, great pixel graphic and a good variety of weapons - HIGHLY recommend it

26th Nov - Superliminal - only completed the story once and moved one
A nice mindfuck puzzle where you solve puzzles from different perspectives.

26th Nov - Unravel Two - completed story mode
Okay 2d jump and run with 2 yarns. Didn't like it as much as the 1st game.

Dead Space (2023), Cocoon, and Like a Dragon: Ishin!. There were a few others that I started but decided to retire, which probably amounted to about 40-50% of my playtime for the month.

I only completed 19 games this month which are mostly indie titles.

Some are replays like TWD: A New Frontier & Dark Pictures: House of Ashes.

I also did complete MW3 (2023) campaign which sucks so bad.

The month flew by so fast so it ended up being my third month in a row with no completions 😅. I have a couple getting close though so hopefully that'll change in December, especially since I'm almost caught up on my video reviews.

03 - The Quarry (Steam Deck) - 7/10
Nice little narrative horror game to play over Halloween, if a bit predictable. I got this as part of Humble Choice.

04 - Alan Wake 2 (Series X) - 8/10
A massive improvement in my opinion to Alan Wake 1 in narrative and presentation, but I think it’s a step back in terms of gameplay when compared to Control.

04-05 - Frog Detective 1-3 (Series X) - 5/10
Not really for me, but they were quick and on Game Pass so no harm done.

07 - Parappa the Rapper 2 (PS2 Emulated) - 6/10
A fun little rhythm game. I couldn’t get the first to run properly via emulation as there was too much input delay. A bit easy for me as a rhythm game fan but that’s besides the point.

10 - Bayonetta 2 (Switch) - 8/10
I’m not very good at these types of games, but the insane spectacle throughout is worth the price of entry, even if I did have to play on button-mashy baby mode.

12 - Jusant (Series X) - 7/10
A short, almost meditative experience slightly pared down by some janky climbing mechanics. Played through Game Pass.

16 - Klonoa 1 - Phantasy Reverie Series (Deck) - 6/10
I think I prefer the PlayStation original, but I also found that quite grating towards the end. I’ve heard better things about the second game so I’m looking forward to trying that out.

25 - The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4) - 8/10
This is a hard one for me to formalise my opinions about. I really was not having fun at the beginning, but stuck with it and started to enjoy it more once I reached the halfway point. The story is a bit dodgy in parts but nowhere near as poorly written as some would lead you to believe.

28 - El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron (PS3 Emulated) - 6/10
A very strange game. Almost non-existent gameplay taking place in incredibly beautiful locations. I wouldn’t say this is an essential play, but worth checking out.

Retired:
Parappa the Rappa (PS1) - Too much input lag to play, making a rhythm game essentially unplayable.
Trepang2 (Deck) - It was okay, but I don’t think it was worth what I paid so I refunded it. I’ll probably try it again once it’s cheaper.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 (3DS) - Too janky for me and ended up getting frustrated with the controls.

Two games for me:

6th November - Undertale - 10h 32m 50s
14th November - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - 151h 28m 45s

Ranking
2nd Undertale - An excellent little RPG which offers it's own unique take on the turn based gameplay of most RPGs which makes the game stand out which is also helped with it's overarching meta narrative
1st The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - A improvement on the already excellent breath of the wild. It brings in dungeons, a larger open world and the ability to build machines throughout the game
