Very good Factory Simulation with relaxing gameplay. Much fun to play. Especially can recommend it as a multiplayer experience. Or you can really build your dream factory from scratch, but that will be a very time consuming hobby.Updated 15.5 Hours Ago

Satisfactory is not a game I expected to be interested in or even enthralled by, but my god... This game is so well made it hurts. The design of its functions are smooth. The graphics are lovely. The world is interesting and challenging. Easy 10/10! Would buy again.Updated 2.5 Weeks Ago

/// I completed this wonderful game today, it has a lot of possibilities, starting from a simple plot, in which you need to save the planet by completing tasks for building various parts, to exploring the planet itself and searching for various objects! I won’t tell you which ones!) I really liked it, so of course I recommend it!Updated 3.5 Weeks Ago

Where Factorio is all about expansion, Satisfactory shifts the focus to consumption. Every so often, I get the urge to play Factorio, but having beaten it multiple times, including some modded playthroughs, I wanted something to scratch that itch without the added complexity of mods like Space Exploration or the expansion.I’ve poured about 120 hours into one save file and only just reached the final tier. In that time I’ve barely explored the map, hardly touched the modding scene, and still have multiple bottlenecks to solve. There is a lot game here and an entire world to get lost in. The game does a fantastic job of gently guiding you towards new resources and technologies. While it can feel overwhelming at first, if you stick with it and chip away at the tasks slowly, you’ll find it’s entirely doable and incredibly rewarding.
If you like any type of factory building games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, or Mindustry, give this one a shot.

Remarkable game. Extremely detailed, great humour, highly rewarding gameplay, lovely world to explore, and lots of very interesting elements to it. The ending is very underwhelming, and the part of the game I found most intriguing (the alien voice communicating with the player/ADA) didn't actually end up going anywhere. I was really excited to see where that led, i'm so shocked it was just fluff, it was so interesting. Overall though, this is a very complex and well made game that feels very satisfying and rewarding to play through! I strongly recommend it!The complexity of constructing the late game parts is immense, and at times overwhelming, but it is always manageable. There aren't any giant leaps in difficulty since each part is one step more complex than before, but those steps are so big that it still feels too much for my smooth brain. There's like hundreds of steps that go into making some of the final items, which gets very hard to keep track of. That being said, i'm pretty sure you're not meant to keep track of it. That's just a skill issue of me not managing to automate everything well enough lol.
Also, I adore how this game manages guidance. It gives you an objective, you have your codex to check how each part is made, and that's about it. I was figuring out new mechanics even when I was nearing the end of the game, and that is so fun. I was getting frustrated by some gas pillars near my base for a hundred hours before realising there's an easier way to deal with them, and that is a good example of the Satisfactory experience I think. Endlessly figuring out new ways to make everything easier. The game name is so perfect, because I really can't think of a better way to describe how that feels than to say it's satisfying.
The world is gorgeous with some very unique biomes and scenery. It is absolutely huge, but becomes gradually more and more traversable as you progress (thank you hypertube cannons), and every inch of it is packed with items, enemies, and collectibles.
I do wish there was a bit more depth to the combat, because all the options are actually kinda balanced, which makes that part of the game have relatively unrewarding progression. And as I mentioned at the start, the ending is quite lackluster, and my fav part of the game didn't end up going anywhere, but a few issues are very easy to look past when everything else is done so well.

I love this game. I tried a few times over the years to get into it, but I could never get past the first couple of hours. I finally brute-forced my way through that in February 2024. I completely started over for the 1.0 release, and I had a blast. If you can push through the pretty overwhelming jumps in logistical complexity that happen at a few points, this is one of the most rewarding games I've ever played (Crude Oil refinement, the thing separating the early game from the mid-game, is the first big jump, and Bauxite/Aluminum production at the end of the mid-game is the one that trips most people up, as it produces liquid byproducts that can be fed back into its own production chain).
There are definitely still some issues, though. I really wish the game had more robust blueprint, copy, and paste functionality, something more akin to Factorio's. I also think it's a bit of an issue that a few of the alternate recipes are objectively far better than their default counterparts, since they're tied to exploration and unlocking them is semi-random (e.g. Cast Screws in the early game, Diluted Fuel and Heavy Oil Residue, Pure Ingots when you start needing mass quantities of ingots)
Performance increased dramatically with the 1.0 release, especially during the middle third of the game, but game stutters slowly creep back up as you reach end-game manufacturing, making conveyor or pipe placement a giant pain (at the end, I get 1/4 to 1/2-second stutters, twice, whenever I place a belt: first when the click happens to create the belt, and then a second or two later, once the build animation finishes and the belt becomes fully rendered. For reference, my save file was 14.5 MB at that point, and I'm on a 7800 X3D with a 4070 Ti, playing in 1440p). Thankfully, the 5-10 second freezes that happened when auto-saving pre-1.0 are a thing of the past, and now the save stutter is barely noticeable, even at the end.
If anyone reading this is at all into factory or automation games, you owe it to yourself to play this.

Even now it is a musthave. As it continues, it may end up in the 10/10 category.Truly a gem like no other. Even in my 36th year, it managed to force me to do a 20 hour marathon during one weekend.

A factory simulator starting at on of the highest peaks imaginable and slownly falling down a terrible long descent. The last few stages were very much rushed and are only a grindfest rather rhan an introduction to new elements or mechanics.
Unlike other games like factorio you dont need to optimise the entire base to match the threath of enemies but rather just build an ok factory and do something else while infinity resources are generated from only a few veins of ore.
But for me the biggest letdown was the unsatisfactory ending feeling like they needed to finish quickly and did a ok job.

I'm not a fan of the last tier as it mostly feels like a power check and a time-sink. I'm not that keen on the Space Elevator deliveries in general either. The things you make for the elevator almost never turn into something you can use later on in your base. At best early items become components for later deliveries, so it feels like a waste to fully automate the creation of them. The deliveries feel too detached from the rest of the factory and feel more like an afterthought to give you a goal to work towards. It also has quite a few bugs and even what I suspect is a memory leak as my framerate tanked to the low 20s but restarting the game fixed it completely.
I think some more guided messages could help, as I didn't naturally discover any hard drives and had to look up online where to get them for the next step in the MAM. The same happened with mycelia as well, and I think giving a hint in the codex so an external source isn't necessary would be better.
With that said, I did enjoy large parts of it, especially the early game when you can still feel the progress and even the less organized player like myself is still able to keep track of what is going on.

Enjoyed it alot.Given that it's an early acces game it ran quite smooth. Had loads of fun optimizing my factories and progressing.
Will pick it back up after its full release
Pros:
Exploration
Fun to optimise your factory.
Frequent updates
Cons:
Since it's in first person it can sometimes be tricky to build.

Part Exploration, part building, part strategy, part survival, and all in glorious first person!First person building in the Unreal 4 engine is excellent. It's easy to build, remove and get into the game. I can see I'll spend a great deal of time in this fantastic world!
Thank goodness it came to steam. Now so many more people can enjoy this gem!
