Any news on this would be great. I was surprised to see there wasn't a public API.

Is there a way to make completion date the default when switching to the review tab?

I just finished TWEWY for the first time and am blown away in every sense. I think it might be the best all around game I've ever played, like objectively. Is it my favorite game? IDK. Definitely top 5 at least, but: it expertly achieves the things it sets out to do, and in an insanely unique way. It completely subverted my expectations. I went in jokingly saying things like "Okay here we go it's Sora with some amnesia haha, time to discover the power of friendship", but the game goes so much deeper than that and actually gives Neku and the other characters real character development. The message of the game is actually important and I personally needed that reminder. It's so applicable and really resonates. I put spoiler tags here because the fact that this game had a real message took me completely off guard, and was super effective.
I understand that the battle system is not for everyone with the divided attention and whatnot. However, with that caveat out of the way, I think it's one of the best/most robust battle systems I've ever played (And I just finished Xenoblade 3 too, so that's saying something). Combine that with a unique, well-executed story that I haven't seen before and *chef's kiss*. I can't say enough about this game, and am now looking for more media discussing it, analyzing it, etc.. I am wondering if the sequels and worth picking up as well.

I wish I had had time to play during the Game of the Month, but I just finished it and this game is an instant favorite for me. Everything was air-tight in my opinion (played on the DS).

Feel free to add me as well - I mainly play RPGs but branch out every now & then. I try to write reviews for every game I beat.

I just finished it on the neutral path (unknowingly) and loved the game, though had trouble with some of the bosses for sure. I would like to do the pacifist route, but I don't know if I have the patience to run the game again a 2nd time. I might do it in the future though.
Update - I finished the pacifist route and found it very worth it. The game was telling me about determination the entire time, and that's what I needed to beat the pacifist route (that, and the temmie armor).
This game now holds a special place for me, but I do have one personal critique: I believe games should be self-contained in one play through. I think introducing redundancy as a mechanic is almost never a good idea (i.e. Bravely Default is the worst offender I've encountered). Undertale has a very short runtime, which mitigates this issue. That being said, I think it would have been more eloquent to have some sort of event or something give the player a revelation that you are effectively murdering the members of the monster society, and that these aren't just faceless monsters as in almost every other RPG. Waiting until endgame to throw this back at the player was a bit clunky IMO.

I do my best to finish the games as well. I'd say if I were to rate a game a 5/10, then maybe I would drop it. But the games I choose to play do more for me than a 5/10.

I generally do some research and make sure I will like the game before I start it. Even if I don't like it as much as I thought I would, usually I still like it enough to complete it. But this is why I prefer shorter games in general; Less of a time sink if it's not the best game in the world. The last game I had to really push through was Stella Glow...but in the end I did beat it.
