I'd like to sort my games by their purchase dates, but I can only sort them by date added to the backlog. Is there a way around this?

I know there's a FAQ somewhere about this stuff, but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance!

For me it was X-Blades. It was okay, though the overt skin-exposure of the heroine isn't enough to cover the technical glitches and half-baked gameplay.
What were games you didn't like? You didn't have to hate them, but they're not games you'll be playing again because you like them.

I just finished the main story for Tomb Raider (2013), which took me about 21-22 hours. The average time is about 15-16 hours, whereas main game 'plus' takes about 21-22 hours. I'm a slow gamer, but I think it takes more than 16 hours to finish the main story. What's going on here?

Certainly isn't illegal.

Should users be allowed to openly discuss and even recommend the use of console emulators on PC, or does this too blatantly constitute the promotion of piracy and, in effect, criminal behavior? Is it ever okay (not illegal) to specifically recommend the use of an emulator over the original console?

I've come to accept that there is no one gaming platform that is entirely free of flaws, although people still have their preferences. I'm not trying to start a console war, I just want to gauge this forum's tastes and interests.
For me, it's the PC. I wouldn't consider myself an initiated member of the "PC Gaming Master Race," though; I'd just as soon grab a modern console if my funds and situation allowed for it.
I used to be a big fan of the Wii and the PS2 before I went to college for the first time, though the majority of my gaming experience was still tied to the PC platform. It started with Lego Star Wars and Maple Story, eventually evolving WoW and CS:GO (of those four now I only play CS:GO).

I recently 100%'d The Silent Age on Steam. It's not a major achievement, but it's one less thing on my backlog.

Tomb Raider (2013)
It felt like a chore at first because I prefer shooters over platformers, then I realized that I was playing a shooter. It also runs really (surprisingly) well on my laptop pc, and it looks absolutely glorious with SweetFX enabled.
I'm also a big fan of Insurgency (2014) and CS:GO as time-wasters.

AAA publishers (rightfully) get some crap for recycling certain IPs over and over again, something I first noticed when looking at the game sections at Walmart and noticing that one in two games were a sequel of some kind. I laughed out loud in real life when someone had placed Crysis 3, Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 all next to each other, driving home a point that the most developed and published game IPs are the ones that people play the most.
Or so I thought, anyway.
When I first looked at Steam Charts to see which games were being played the most, I wasn't too surprised; I even played some of them. But I looked at Steam Charts again nearly a year later and many of the same games were still there: CS:GO, DOTA 2, & TF2. Non-Steam games, such as LoL and Diablo 3, rack in just as many (and sometimes more) players, and yet all these IPs generally aren't "churned" for sequels every business quarter as we're conventionally used to.
And let's look at our own gaming habits: how many games do we have in our backlog, and yet how much time do we spend on one that we've probably over-completed? I've got 1600 games and 700 hours in CS:GO, yet I'd rather play more CS:GO than try a new game. Why is that? Am I uncomfortable trying new things? Do I just want to play with something that I'm already familiar with? Perhaps in my mind I don't have the time or energy to try a new game (or IP), so instead I'll blow through 40 hours of gaming in one my favorite shooters over spring break instead of clearing my backlog.
Between Publishers doling out their IPs in sequels year after year and millions of players who mostly find solace playing one or two games competitively, what is hurting creativity in the gaming industry? Why do gamers have a hard time trying new games, in their backlog or otherwise, even if they have time? Are the two phenomena linked? Does a publisher's unwillingness to explore new territories impact the gamer, or vice versa?

Bastion does this in New Game Plus, where the narrator will tell the same story but add things like "Well, isn't this familiar...?"

Over the course of my short time on this earth, through Steam sales and bundles abound, I've found myself in the unique position where I have too many games to know what games I have! I have nearly 1600 products in my Steam library, all of which I know I can't (and shouldn't) possibly complete. The only option, then, is to thoroughly tag and organize my library and ultimately cull half of it. Tools such as HLTB and Steam tags help, but I'm still having trouble staying on top of my collection and getting the most out of it. Next to researching which games are considered "good" and "bad," then playing the games that pique my interest first, does anybody have any sound advice for the kind of detailed library management that I'm finding myself obligated to perform?
