First Impression:
Instant CRPG Masterpiece
with decisions that matter
no generic content, everything thoughfully handcrafted
no ingame payed content
from a team that love what they do - you can feel it.

Reminds me of Dragon Age: Origins (the party Camp for example) - my all time favourite game til today. Maybe my all time favourite is about to change.

Update: My all time favorite didn't change, but this is definitely a masterpiece. Such a game is only done once in a decade.

one of the best games ever made for sure. although it was the first game i have played of that sort and i wasnt sure if something like that would be able to grab me it still had me by the balls. it definitely took a long time for me to finish. i started and stopped and started new playthroughs for over a year but once i finally rolled credits it was worth it in the end. not sure how many games/developers will be able to top this game.

Played co-op with two friends and had a total blast. Although I can't remember a lot of the characters in this game, decisions feel like they actually matter throughout your entire journey. Lots of variety in how you build your characters and even on normal the game rewards you for thinking outside of the box. I have never played DnD before but it felt like this game captured the experience pretty closely to how I imagined it.

I'm only sad that I won't be able to experience it for the first time again, after having spent the last year and change once a week playing this game :'(

The story and role playing in this game is incredibly well done. The combat is really fun but has a lot of issues that makes the use of more intricate mechanics very difficult.

The camera can be ridiculously annoying in combat too. As well as the positioning which can be really difficult to determine how far you need to move at times without getting your movement "deleted" in a sense even though the game told you that you could go a different path that is longer.

As someone who typically doesn't enjoy CRPGs, Baldur's Gate 3 impressed me with its deep storytelling, rich character development, and engaging tactical combat. The game features stunning visuals, a vast world to explore, and offers immense freedom through meaningful choices and varied outcomes. It's a must-play for RPG fans, even for those who aren't usually drawn to the genre.

This was my first ever CRPG and because of this game, it won’t be my last.
An amazing game, I’m still taken aback on how they were able to have a small cutscene with each interaction with every single NPC you can talk to. I cant put into words how much I loved this game, I felt a hole in my heart when I completed it, I didn’t want it to end.
Each character had such deep and intricate personalities and the more time I spent with each character, the more my opinion changed and I started to become attached to each of them. I actually missed out on quite a few characters, but this gives me the chance to do another playthrough with my partner and go through the whole campaign and see what choices he picks. The characters I got were Shadowheart, Astorian, Karlach, Gale and Wyll, I used the first three in my party the entire game, I couldn’t bring myself to change them out.
There’s so much to explore and find in this world and it’s very vast, the regions are split up so once I had done everything and explored everything I could, I moved to the next one (i still missed stuff anyways!!!), but beware, there is a certain point in the game where you cannot go back to the first area.

Here are some reasons I didn’t give it 100%:
Considering it is a very immersive, chose the way you play game, I would’ve liked there to be a wider range of customisation for your character, I felt like the character creation was a bit underwhelming and I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t really tweak my character at all, you have to pick from a small range of faces to go off of and then it’s just basic stuff like hair, eye colour, etc. I love creating my character so I can feel really immersed but every time I looked at my own character and his stupid little smirk I internally cringed a bit.
That’s my biggest pet peeve of this game, nothing else I can think of at the top of my head, mainly just being annoyed at something difficult whilst playing but not the games fault.

I highly recommend this, especially for people who enjoy RPG’s, I was addicted to the combat and the story and because of this game, I have now started playing Divinity Original Sin 2 because I needed something to fill the hole this game had left.

Immersive and excellent in almost every way, the choices you make actually matter (most of the time) and this is an RPG that demands multiple playthroughs to see everything and gives the player the chance to actually play totally different ways each time. A must play for RPG fans even if you are not a top down camera fan (as someone who is not, I found this game does it pretty well).

It's a perfect game, the level of detail it has it's unmatched in any other production. The story is solid, but flexible enough to give you new surprises every time you play if you choose to vary a bit your choices. The difficulty and the gameplay is balanced at all levels, and it even has a very good custom difficulty tool so that everyone can find their right challenge. The game is moderately challenging but it also isn't impossible or frustrating, and it rewards creativity both in the story narrative development and in the combat gameplay
It's one of those games for which you wish for amnesia so that you could play it again from scratch

Baldur's Gate 3 is a modern masterpiece within the RPG genre, an incredible expansion of what players expect from a role-playing game. It’s impossible to talk about the game without mentioning its meticulous artistic direction, which features impressive designs, a rich soundtrack, and magnificent graphics. The world design, character models, and overall setting not only meet expectations but surpass them in spectacular fashion. The visuals are stunning, with a level of detail that makes every area of the game feel unique and visually memorable. The rich soundtrack complements the atmosphere perfectly, enhancing moments of tension and tranquility alike. Each musical piece is carefully crafted to immerse the player in a world where decisions matter and the environment feels alive.

The gameplay of Baldur's Gate 3 is incredibly addictive, combining deep exploration with turn-based combat that will feel like a dream for any fan of the genre. Every encounter is a tactical challenge, where smart decision-making and resource management are key. It’s a system that tests not only your strategic abilities but also your adaptability to the ever-changing situations the game presents. However, what truly sets it apart is the customization on offer. From character creation to relationships with other characters, every playthrough is a unique experience. The relationship system is intricate, and every choice can significantly affect the plot, alliances, and the outcome of the story. This level of customization and freedom is one of the game’s greatest strengths, encouraging replayability. Additionally, the active modding community has added an extra layer of content, making Baldur's Gate 3 feel constantly fresh and expansive.

The story in Baldur's Gate 3 certainly doesn’t disappoint. With a script that weaves together multiple plots and deeply developed characters, the game offers a rich, complex narrative that captivates not only with its twists but with the moral dilemmas that challenge the player at every turn. The characters, far from being mere companions, are true allies or rivals, each with their own story, motivations, and depth. Interacting with them is key to making this experience truly memorable.

Personal Conclusion: Baldur's Gate 3 is a game that has it all: a visually stunning world, deep and strategic gameplay, and a story filled with complex, interesting characters. The customization it offers is probably one of its biggest attractions, creating an experience that can change completely from one playthrough to another. However, like all games of this type, Baldur's Gate 3 is not for everyone. The turn-based systems and resource management may feel tedious or unappealing to those who prefer a faster-paced or more action-oriented style. Despite this, it is undeniable that Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the best role-playing experiences available today, and I award it a well-deserved 9.6/10.

+A great array of companions with there own interlocking stories
+A expansive and deep set of levels with many hidden secrets
+An excellent system of spells and abilities to give each character a there unique strengths and weaknesses
-The camera easily gets stuck and does a poor job of handling multiple floors
-The inventory system is an unwieldy mess
-System can be too reliant on DnD knowledge and can be daunting for non DnD players
Overview: Baldurs Gate 3 is a huge and expansive CRPG that does an excellent job of compelling people to go through the world with it’s expansive and well done combat and speech systems. Utilizing these systems to make different classes stronger and weaker in different situations and being able to talk your walk out of a lot of fights with the right charisma or deal large amount of melee damage as a fighter or crowd control as a wizard. Using this system it tells an excellent story with a set of companions with there our background and side stories which all link back into the main story to compel you to continue playing within the world which itself is large and expansive with a ton of hidden secrets within each area you go to. While an excellent RPG it is not without it’s issues the two big ones being the camera especially within multi storey buildings easily gets stuck and it’s difficult to move the camera between levels with ease and the inventory is a mess and takes a bit too much work to manage especially as each character have their own inventory. It also doesn’t always explain the DnD based system well especially accessible to none DnD players and doesn’t really explain dice for battles that well. Overall though Baldur’s Gate 3is a huge and expansive RPG with a ton to offer and only a few niggles in the way.

Well, where to begin. I really love Dragon Age origins, it's my favorite game, so I thought to give Baldurs Gate 3 a try. And I was really disappointed from the romance options. Yes I'm a hetero girl and I like to date in this kind of games, it's even a major reason to play such RPGs. I think the romances are not well written. And the game is just too long for me. I think the pacing is very lacking in both the main story and the romance side plot. And I didn't like the combat system as well, not a fan of round based combat. Even though I like Heroes of Might and Magic...

My favorite game of all time. Changed my life and provided escapsim when I needed it most. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about it and run through theories and criticisms in my head. It is not without its faults. In particular, the third act lacks companion reactivity and feels rushed and unpolished in parts. Larian is known for long-term support and has been ironing out issues and adding new content since release.

had mostly a great time with Larian's $60 DLC for Divinity: Original Sin 2

pros
+ excellent writing, companions, and companion side quests. my biggest motivation to keep playing are my companions' stories
+ combat is varied, flexible, and usually pretty exciting minus some tedious turn-taking in battles with a ton of enemies
+ d&d mechanics and rules are mostly implemented really well and they successfully removed a lot of the monotony and terrible pacing that comes with playing actual d&d
+ some beautiful environments and music, and a lot of incredible voice work
+ a ton of role-playing content that mostly values the player's choice. even more content if you are willing to replay the game

cons

- my biggest gripe, by far, is that act 3 is a total mess. even if they fixed all the bugs, so much of the design of this last chunk of the game is antithetical to the philosophy of choice the game had been building for the previous several dozen hours. if I did manage to finish a quest without it breaking in some way, i found myself totally underwhelmed or frustrated by its inevitably trite conclusion.
- expanding on the above point, the entire game is buggy. it might be the worst in act 3 but there were many moments during the rest of the game where objects/characters would disappear, voiced lines wouldn't play, dialogue would be skipped entirely, and i even had some crashes. one bug even had me lose all my camp supplies for no known reason, so i could not long rest until i had scavenged more.
- romance is handled embarrassingly bad. once again, it feels like the game is throwing away its penchant for player freedom by turning romance into a checklist of little things you have to do to achieve a singular, specific result. romance is such a significant aspect of companion interaction in this game (to an almost uncomfortable degree, feels like horny fan-fiction at times), that the tunnel-vision they had resolving these arcs is shockingly shortsighted. in addition, romances are also prone to serious bugs - some so serious that entire romantic threads can suddenly cease to exist (as what happened to me)
- awful inventory management made me dread having to go into my characters' (or my camp's!) menus every time
- awful camera, constantly stuck in walls, ceilings, or on a whole different height level. "cinematic" camera during cutscenes or battles also bugged frequently

---------------------------------------------------------

I know I had a lot of cons, but don't get me wrong - it's a great game! but its third act, when compared with the consistency and excitement of the other two, is a borderline travesty. the game could be a 10/10 if i stopped playing before getting to act 3. I'm not sure how interested I am in returning, I feel too burned by playing this game when it was clearly released unfinished. ᵗᵒᵗᵏ ᵍᵒᵗʸ

This game is an incredible experience. As someone who has never played D&D, admittedly it took me several hours for it to truly click, but once it did I was hooked. The characters are awesome, even if I find some to be annoying or insufferable. The world feels vast in scope, even though the actual game map sometimes feels small. This game is a masterclass in worldbuilding, though it does have the luxury of having expansive lore to pull from. I love that you can pretty much do anything you can think of in this game. I often times find myself having way more fun in the dialogue moments than in combat or any of the other gameplay. My biggest issue with the game (but this is a ME thing) is that it is TOO big. I want to play and experience everything I can on one playthrough because I don't know how many (if any) other times I'll play this. I explore every little nook and cranny to begin with, but this also has story altering dialogue consequences that entice me to want to explore all of those options as well. All in all this is truly one of the best games ever made. If every game Larian made was exactly like this I'd play nothing else again.

Well I am enjoying it, the modding is a pain but it took less than a day so it's fine, I like the turn based shenanigans and the rpg mechanics are really well done. +80%

The sound, the sound is pretty good, especially or only? In cutscenes, no they have good songs too, or at least, have songs, which is always a plus. +5%

You know what, it's not a GOOD good game, but it does many many things, and it does those many things really really well, It's impressive and rare but plot and lore wise, it's just like any other RPG, nothing world shuddering, but it IS handled well and executed well, I'm invested like I would be in john wick (havent seen it) , not like in fightclub.

I think the best compliment I can give Baldur's Gate 3 is that it feels like playing Baldur's Gate again. Back in the nineties I was more addicted to those CRPGs than a duck on crack and I ploughed through BG 1, 2, Icewind Dale 1&2, Planetscape Torment, and more besides in under year. I have incredibly fond memories of staying up late into the night perfecting my perfect strategy or, more often than not, trying to click on the tiny pixel of a secret lever or pouch with my oversized mouse and low resolution screen.

The absolute best thing about these early games is that they managed to reproduce the feel of playing a game of Dungeons & Dragons like no games had done before, and, in my opinion, that no RPGs have really done since. The mind-boggling freedom that the developers allowed was beyond heavenly and led to innumerable laugh-out-loud moments, either because your carefully thought out plan failed in spectacular fashion, or when you thought you were thinking outside the box and had completely hoodwinked the game only to discover they had planned for nearly every possible outcome. It's almost as great as having a GM stare at you knowingly with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He is going to screw with you, male no mistake. And you are going to like it.

Divinity Original Sin got close to scratching that itch, but while it definitely succeeded in terms of its chaotic combat, it still played things a bit too safe in terms of its storytelling. Not so here. I've spoken to scores of people who have been sucked into this game. Every single story was different. Want to ally with the good guys and save the world? No prob. Want to become a savage dictator and crucify your opponents at any given opportunity? Go for it. Want to murder every single living thing, including your companions? Maybe have a talk with your psychiatrist, then go for it.

There are plenty or serious themes here, but it's all taken with an extremely large grain of salt, and I never felt myself getting too emotionally involved in the fate of the world or its characters. But that's not why I come to a game like this. I want to know if I can build a staircase out of boxes to get over a wall, or fireball someone to death before he's finished talking, or occupy a wealthy citizen of Baldur's Gate with one of my characters while the rest of us run around his mansion pilfering all his stuff.

If this sounds like fun, it's because it is. Some modern RPGs have forgotten what that acronym actually means. Playing a role is not just taking a character from point A to point B. It's inhabiting that person and making decisions to influence that world. Choice, diversity, and fun memories are what I enjoy most, and Baldur's Gate 3 has all three in spades.

Excellent game by Larian, who again knock it out of the park for me after previously having thoroughly enjoyed their Original Sin games. Great implementation of the DND ruleset into a pretty well balanced game. The game is also chockful of engaging and interesting content, with both the main story and side quests being compelling all the way through.

The one thing the game can be accused of is being overwhelming. Playing it together with a friend it took us many months to put in the 92 hours that were required to finish the game. This led to us regularly forgetting some plot points, especially in side quests. This is excarbated by (good really) plot point from early in the game coming back into play again much later. That's really the only major thing I can hold against the game, aside from maybe benefitting from some better/more memorable dialogue/writing.

Oyunun hikayesi bence orta, sunum mükemmel, gameplay mekanikleri iyiydi. #Souls zorluğu seven arkadaşlara taktisyen zorluğunu tavsiye edebilirim. Ben genel olarak oyunu beğendim. Sizi kalıplara sığdırıp, darlamıyor. Her türlü esneklik sağlanmış.

9/10 #beat

While it's not perfect (stop running into visible traps, Lae'zel!) it is very entertaining and I didn't get tired of it before the end of the game.

Phenomenal game. Great gameplay, characters, story, music, just everything! Even though the game is a monumental achievement, I just can't give it a perfect score. I had some issues with the storytelling, writing, and pacing. Once the experience has had time to marinate in my heart a little, I may come back and change my score.

Great fucking game, there is so much content, too bad I started losing interest in the third part, I will finish this though, eventually.

Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the best games I've ever player and one of my top three video game experiences. The game isn't perfect, but its imperfections add to its charm. I played this game for 162 hours but it feels like 15. I loved the characters and was legitimately sad when it was time to say goodbye. I was so impressed by how your choices matter. I mean they really matter. I accidentally killed Lae'zel; so she was NEVER in my party. I couldn't tell. Amazing!

This game is hard, but not like playing a Soulslike game. It's hard like putting together Ikea furniture without the instructions. The game doesn't hold your hand. I'd played on the easiest difficult and used the internet a lot. This isn't a critique. This is an observation. Even, so the game was extremely fun.
