I spent maybe 40 hours on a first playthrough, so obviously I didn't see everything. But Acts 1 and 3 were much better crafted than 2, 2 being the open world which could have been anything from GTA to Far Cry to Mafia to Sleeping Dogs, etc. (races, fights, random kill/break-in assignments, etc.). Tons of bugs including invisible floors, corrupted saves, etc. 4 years in and on PC on Act 2. But I may try to see what happens on other iterations of Act 3, which means I have more buy-in than other games I'd give a meh score to. There's cool stuff going on here, but it's also bloated, badly optimized, and kind of up its own ass. Glad I took the ride, glad I didn't take it sooner, wish it better fulfilled its promise.

It's been years, and to be clear: I've never finished CP2077 before patch 2.2. I've owned the game since launch, heck I preordered it. I couldn't play it with my PC back then, and since then I've upgraded my rig and meddled with 1000s of mods. Ultimately, I bought the DLC, removed all the mods, and sat myself down and played the game as intended. And yes, CDPR is iffy when it comes to optimization and rollout. The game was buggy for years and even after it was fixed up, there are still a lot of small glitches here and there. Not to mention how difficult it is to configure the settings to get a clean game out of it. After a lot of messing around with the settings, I got it to work with raytracing on ultra, everything at max settings, DLSS at performance and 80% sharpness. Basically the NVIDIA settings worked best. I don't think the RT is doing much to really improve the fidelity, but when it comes through, it does look nice especially on a rainy day.
Okay putting the hardware and optimization aside, the game itself is amazing. I think the combat is still easy. Even in hard, I didn't find many fights to be difficult. It is also rather easy to attain money, resources, and levels. The game can be completed pretty quickly. Yet, the main feature of the game is the worldbuilding, storytelling, and CYOA aspects. If each side quest is grueling, then you are more concerned about the combat. I don't think CP2077 is actually about the combat though (even with how granular the combat skills are). Each side quest has a story, some very small and some quite extended. They all cover different aspects of how Night City operates. There are number of quests where not only did I enjoy the gameplay, but I stuck around to interact with the lore too. Learning about the histories of cyberpsychos, or the why of the Lina Malina imposter, or watching Lizzy Wizzy's spiral down, etc. The goods and the bads. Some just flesh out the world while others really stick with you. Others also influence how your main story or side characters interact with you. There's just so much detail and care taken to make your experience filled with storytelling. And as a fan of Witcher 3, I think CDPR's excellence is in storytelling. Both games, to me, were masterpieces in getting my involved and having me interested in all kinds of characters, companies, and events. Witcher was great because I'm not a fantasy fan and yet that game had me chasing each quest to see what more I could learn about Geralt and the world. CP2077 does the same, except with way more characters.
Of which, Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand was a real treat. In the base game, he's pretty stale - the usual flat Keanu but some moments show his emotion pretty well. Those are the same moments where as a player, I started to care about Johnny and become attached to his perspective as I made my decisions as V. There were times I really appreciated his company in some quests and liked to hear his silly thoughts. He's the one toxic friend that you can't help but keep around. He also curses a lot for no reason. But in Phantom Liberty, he becomes so much more deeper. There are tons of moments, in the main scenario and in side quests, where he will chime in and give V an idea of what to do. In the main story for the DLC, he goes from being a cocky idiot to a introspective ally. I really loved his performances alongside Idris Elba's Solomon Reed.
The characters in Phantom Liberty are very good. It shows that even though the main game has a lot of opportunities for V to bond with named NPCs, the DLC shows that CDPR learned and got better. They improved on the characters, their stories, performances, and voice lines. Made me really connect with each main NPC and thus made my ending of the DLC such the more impactful.
When it comes to the combat, I didn't really enjoy it being a shooting game. And yet, I did enjoy the gameplay. I played it like it was Assassin's Creed, being stealthy and knocking people out, using quickhacks, and gunning people from afar. My main rotation was a pistol, a SMG, and a sniper and I upgraded my cyberware to match my style. I think that's a really good feature, of how this game allows many kinds of playstyles to work and rewards you with weapons and skills that improve your individualized experience.
Ironically, a lot of these amazing gameplay features, from clothing styles to the skill tree, were not there at launch. They all came in through dense patches.
And I think that's the key thing here. Even with this game being difficult to run, took years to optimize, runs weird, has glitches, crashes, is better with mods, and is overall a funky experience - it is obvious to anyone who is looking for it that CDPR really cares about this game and this property. If combat and optimization is all you are worried about, this game might not cut it. But if you are like me, a story-based gamer, CD2077 + Phantom Liberty, is easily one of the best you can play.

This is a weird one to review cause a lot of parts I really enjoy (like the DLC and side quests) but some bits I got quite bored of (bugs, texture bugs, forced TAA and some of the main story). Characters are fun, world is cyber and or punk, gameplay is alright, RPG system isn't that deep so anyone can make builds that work, games a little easy even on hard.

I've been waiting for a long time to play CP2077, finally doing it at version 2.1/2.2. I also tried to manage my expectations, based on countless reviews and impressions I read in the meantime. Unfortunately, I still ended being disappointed.

CP2077, in my opinion, does not move the game industry or the genre forward. All the things it does have been done previously, sometimes better, by other games - there is no unique mechanics in it. I would say even that its strongest points (such as graphics, art design, voice acting and story) were matched by other major and smaller games of the past decade, or even older.
Even then, the game could have stood above the rest if every element, although not exactly original, was executed at the highest level of quality and interacted flawlessly with every other element (like Blizzad of the days of yore used to do). Sadly, this is not the case, and there is inconsistency in the game everywhere.

My most favourite elements were:

1) Good varierty of builds, including more exotic ones like knife juggler or heavy melee;
2) Multiple ways to solve some quests, with repercussions down the line;
3) Connections between characters and events, which you can uncover if you dig around;
4) Relatively fresh look at cyberpunk without constant rain and gloom;
5) Exploring the game's theme's in some of main and side quests;

Things I disliked:
1) lack of depth/challenge - about halfway through the game, I polished my build (netrunner + some pistols/smgs/snipering), and combat became very repetitive. I started to die only if I tried to do something unconventional, outside of my usual rotation of quickhacks. Only bosses and some cyberpsychos posed some challenge;
2) pacing/progression: dissonance between V's imminent death, which manifests only during story missions, and plenty of side activities to complete. Also, getting to street cred lvl50 at around 2/3 of the game, with tier5+ weapons/quickhacks, make completing the rest a bit pointless from the viewpoint of character power progression.
3) driving - absolutely atrocious;
4) lack of gameplay use for JS: he is just there as a narrative device / POV for flashbacks. No new mechanics for improving relationship with him, no impact of it on the story (apart from the secret ending).
5) long scripted, on-the-rails, "cinematic" segments, where can do only exactly what the game tells you to do, regardless of your build;
6) quests which 90% consist of walking slowly/riding and listening to NPCs, are very short, or both;
7) underdeveloped background sections - I expected something like Dragon Age: Origins. In the current format, they could have made them cutscenes;
8) bugs - ranging from minor (like a cigarette stuck in the wall) to game-breaking (inability to save or interact with objects after combat).

Overall, I think it is a worthy achievement for CDPR, cementing its status as a prime AAA developer and proving effectiveness of the hype traing its marketing department assembled. But various imrpovements over the three years could not address the fundamental problems of the game, which lie in the original design. I could not say I regret all the time I spent, but will not be buying Witcher 4 until is heavily discounted. 8/10.

A special comment on the quality of the physical (disc) edition: I bought the Ultimate PC version, and I expected it to contain at least the same materials the standard physical editions had: a map, a world compendium, postcards and stickers. In the event, the case only had stickers and a code to the game. The stinginess is appalling.

Playthrough statistics: 100hrs, hard difficulty, increasing to very hard about 1/3 through, PL installed, but did only main game, lvl60/street cred 50 at the end, netrunner+guns build, completed all main/side jods + gigs I could find, plus some NCPD jobs, saw 3/4 endings (including the secret one).

In 2025 the game seems to have been patched fairly well, but it still gives a distinct feeling of being an incomplete tech demo at times. The consolisation is quite annoying, handling your loot is such a pain that I went through the whole game without using any items except weapons and clothing. I left everything else sitting in the stash in a massive pile. Didn't sell it because I never needed money. I don't think the items actually do anything of value anyway. It's not like health or healing items seem to matter in this game, since they constantly replenish by themselves. I know it seems to be a controversial issue, but players should be required to get good at the game in order to beat it.

The cyberware was okay. I did get some of that, to increase my crouch movement by like 4% or whatever.

The graphics and setting are very good. The only issue I have is the TAA ghosting, particularly with car HUDs. In the end it annoyed me so much I disabled it and replaced it with Reshade.

I enjoyed the story, it at least attempted to have the depth of Deus Ex, which I appreciate. The few side quests I did seemed okay, however my reward for finishing one quest line in particular was basically just some money and a "thank you". However the story does commit the cardinal sin of false urgency in an open world game. Why do writers do this, do they not play games?

The levels looked very nice, but the level design itself was not good and doesn't remotely compare to Deux Ex. Almost all of the levels were linear. Some of the fights I simply ran through to progress the game. There was one time where I was like "damn this game feels like Deus Ex now", and it turned out to be a small mission near the end where you sneak into a mansion. I did enjoy the breakable glass, and the destructible environment at the end though, that was fun.

The perks are unimaginative. I looked through the skill trees and there were very few things I would look at and think "I want to unlock this". In the end I just levelled my pistol and hacking, picked the pistol with the highest damage number, and that was enough to get through the game with no troubles.

The character designer is once again consolised. Give me sliders ffs.

A lot of the dialogue felt like filler and could have been cut back.

The romance stuff was too shallow and abrupt, I never thought I'd say this but the sex scenes made me feel uncomfortable. I was just sitting there like "who is this person I am fucking".

Enemies were such large bullet sponges that I lowered the difficulty solely out of frustration of having to unload an entire mag into an enemy to kill them. It's a good thing that ammo seems to be some kind of omnipresent force in this universe, because holy shit.

Despite all of these problems, the setting, worldbuilding and genre saved it. It just felt good to be back in the cyberpunk world, and overall it was a good game which I enjoyed. It distinctly felt like a framework for something which could have been much better, so I am very hopeful that the DLC and the next Cyberpunk game will be really good. And in the meantime I'll probably even give this game another play through.

Revisiting after 5 years, some things changed, some stayed the same. 86%
It's no secret that Cyberpunk had a very rough launch, even after many updates that improved the game, some things are not as well implemented as they should have been. Tons of room for improvement in Orion, just don't overpromise next time.

Pros:
Different play styles that all seem viable
Gameplay
I like how you can not get every upgrade, but can refund points to allocate elsewhere if needed
Main storyline is at least interesting
Good lore
Side jobs are mostly unique with interesting side stories to tell within
Customization

Mixed:
Some main story characters don't feel as fleshed out as they should
Endings feel rushed because everything feels crammed into Act 2, and when Act 3 starts, it's just at the end abruptly
Gigs are a mixed bag of busywork
Jackie montage still didn't exactly help Act 1, so the impact did not work as well as it could have

Cons:
I'm usually fine with funny jank, but jank that gets in your way is annoying. (Cars spawning above where I requested, cars exploding, missions not updating, npcs love dodging into your car vs away from it)

The world feels weirdly stale, from the NPCs, to the lack of interactions. We should see mercs in the world doing stuff, it feels like i'm the only one in the city while the city has a ton of fixers.

Game crashed 12 times for me, the most of any PS5 game

Could not do Kerry's questline because he would not call me even though i waited multiple times.

Cyberpunk 77
The story and setting provide an accurate representation of a degenerate cyberpunk society. While there are many choices that influence which ending you get, the developers play it safe by giving you the final say on how you want to end the story in the last chapter, rather than letting your previous choices lock you into a singular path. Your starting lifepath has no real influence on the overall story, it merely adds flavor by altering some dialogue from time to time.
There is no true post-game once you finish the main story. Instead, the game forces you to reload the last checkpoint before the final quest if you want to continue playing and engaging in other activities. This approach works for some endings, but others would have been better if the game simply allowed you to continue from a point after the final quest, with additional dialogue acknowledging the events that transpired. (this point is only mentioned since this is a role playing game)
The quest design is phenomenal at times, but at other times, it feels like they hired designers from Rockstar, quests can be so linear that you have no choice but to complete them exactly as the developers intended, with little room for deviation.
The combat is engaging and fast-paced, offering a variety of tools to take on enemies. Most weapons feel satisfying to use, and the game doesn't shy away from a gory depiction of inflicted damage, adding to the visceral experience.
The implementation of gangs is superficial. You can't liberate a territory from a gang or instigate wars between different factions. The system is static and doesn't even rival the gang mechanics implemented in GTA: SA ~20 years ago.
Driving in third person is awful, the animations don’t seem designed to be viewed from that perspective, and the cars feel floaty. This issue is somewhat mitigated when driving in first person, but another problem arises: V's camera is positioned below eye level. In most vehicles, it looks as if a child is driving, barely able to see over the dashboard.
The game is visually impressive, featuring a wide variety of distinct locations. Despite the awful driving experience, I often found myself cruising around, listening to the radio, and simply taking in the views.
The game is still plagued with bugs, ranging from minor glitches to game-breaking issues that force you to restart or reload a save. This is happening 4 years after release, with the latest updates. Someone pointed out that I seem to be encountering more bugs than they did, suggesting it might just be my copy, but they probably didn't play as much as I do and didn't interact with enough game systems since after googling these issues, I found that many others have had similar experiences , funny that they made Idris Elba say that the "game is fixed" in the Phantom Liberty launch trailer.

Game is amazing overall but what really makes it stand out are the characters and some of the side stories, world looks stunning, the setting, the lore, everything about it, the way they connect the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners to the games, the various references all around, characters like Aguilar the hand of Havana, Mr.Blue Eyes (which I do not trust at all, despite getting the sun ending), Johnny Silverhand which might be my favorite role Keanu has ever played next to Constantine, Jackie, Judy, Vick, Kerry, Rogue, Hands, Padre, Myers, I could waste all the 5k letters of this review just naming some of the phenomenal characters in this game, Cyberware/Playstile diversity is vast, world is fun and feels very alive, the music in this game is amazing and some songs were made for the world of cyberpunk which helps a lot with immersion, Phantom Liberty is absolutely OUTSTANDING and it's everything positive this game has on steroids but there are some complaints also

First of all, there are some technical problems I have a 3080 Ti, (played at 2k rez, medium/high settings dlss on) and still experienced considerable frame drops on numerous occasions and specific areas outside Megabuilding 10 and around that area being the most drastic, the main story is underwhelmingly short, there's just too much to read, waay too many shards, I enjoy the lore but it's just too much time to waste, the game would greatly benefit if they had some type of narrator to read over them or tell it as stories in the car, like GOW does with Mimir in the boat rides, instead of having Johny sit there muted for the whole car ride, or Delamain Jr, the game sets unfun, unnecessary limitations to the player for absolutely no reason, like why can't all romanceable options in the game be bi, like in BG3, why are the player's options (that already are very few) cut in half because of the gender of V, this adds absolutely nothing to the game or the characters, the gender you chose has more impact on the game than your lifepath, just... why ? they have the voices recorded for every romance with every gender but scrapped last second for some stupid nonsensical reason, also Lvl limit is a buzzkill, for completionists the game becomes way less rewarding after you reach Lv 60, and that happens in the middle of the playthrough, also 1 respec per playthrough was a horrendous choice to implement as well, there was no need to impose these limitations and to be honest they were detrimental to my personal enjoyment of the game as a whole, NCPD scanners make the game bloated and absolutely suck ass, and it's the sole reason why I couldn't plat this game, quests could be more interconnected, and the world could be way denser and combat, especially melee could be more complex.

It feels like this is a blueprint of the game they actually wanted to make, it took me 4 years to buy this, in protest for the deplorable state they launched this game in, and how they treated their devs, which is comical given the whole setting of the game, but since they spent 4 years fixing everything (which is the least they could do) after patch 2.2 at a sale decided to give Cyberpunk a chance and gotta say it ain't perfect but it's definitely worth a play, very excited to see what they'll bring in the next installment with Project Orion

Pontos Positvos:

- NIGHT CITY
- Historia
- Personagens Marcantes
- Gameplay e Builds
- Ost Maravilhosa
- Graficos

Pontos Negativos:

- Bugs, Bugs e mais bugs
- Bem pesado no PC

- Pós prólogo se o player for explorar o mapa e fazer side quests, enquanto faz um pouco da campanha, fica péssimo e enjoativo;
- O stealth do jogo não é satisfatório, o hack é limitado, sobrando só a opção de entrar sentando o dedo no R2 mesmo;
- As side quests se resumem a "entre em um lugar e faça x objetivo" ou "mate um boss", sem nenhuma profundidade além de ganhar credibilidade (que na prática não serve pra basicamente nada);
- Até onde eu joguei não tem personalização de carros;
- A personalização de armas é pouco prática e atrativa... É melhor pegar uma arma que tu considere "boa" de algum inimigo e seguir com ela;
- O jogo, pelo que aparentou, não dá incentivo para que seja jogado no melee (sair na mão). O que torna uma parte da árvore de habilidades inútil;
- Não é raro ocorrerem bugs na gameplay como: o jogo carregar um save de 4 horas atrás por vontade própria quando tu iniciar ele, tu ser engolido pelo chão e cair no limbo, missão bugar e tu não conseguir avançar;

Pontos positivos
- A ambientação e atenção aos detalhes é impressionante. Night City é viva e consegue causar impacto a ponto de te deixar imerso nesse mundo;
- O prólogo é S E N S A C I O N AL, simplesmente isso;
- O combate (trocação de tiro e hack) é bom/decente;
- A dirigibilidade dos carros/motos é boa também;

Had a rough start on release but with some TLC from the devs at CD Projekt Red it has turned into an incredibly fun game.

As my first proper open world game, it felt so good to play it, it's tied along with many of my memories. In a sense it will and is nostalgic.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a flashy game with a lot of promise, but delivers on none of it. The open world of Night City is filled with copy pasted clutter in the form of enemies, gigs, and police. These aspects have zero personality, stakes, or intrigue. The quest lines and characters are not much different. There is a lot of waiting for main quests or quests from specific people to show up. There is a lot of downtime for no discernible reason. The pacing is awful and for this reason I was unable to get to know characters well.

The main story is a slog. The only opportunity to become invested in V's plight comes from the need to stay alive by removing Johnny from her mind. Johnny has only one objective - resisting Arasaka but there isn't enough to convince me why V needed to take that path as well. So in my ending, V gets rid of Johnny and is transported back to Earth.

This game has far too many dialogue events and "sit to talk" events. Why does this game feel the need for input after every sentence? Not a single mission in this game has heard the word "concise" before. There is far too much dialogue, which is worsened by the uninteresting characters. There are so many characters and none have the time to be fleshed out well.

The best part of this game is the combat which takes on a new dimension with the netrunning abilities. Visiting the ripperdoc for new implants and feeling the upgrades assist meaningfully in combat feed well into the narrative of V wanting to become a legend in Night City. The final fight against Adam Smasher was a lot of fun, but the game crashed during the fight.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 shines in its new mechanics but immensely under-delivers on narrative, character development, pacing, and interesting side content. Disappointing. 6.5/10

A pretty good rpg to be honest, i felt like i had a low downtime doing ''nothing'', if you gonna do something there will be always something to do along the way, a conflict like a cyberpsyco or a fixer calling you to do something.

Just everything about it sucks, mostly the graphics, I will NOT play with texture pop-in, better to watch a letsplay in 480p.

Overhyped game.

This game is quite a good game, but not as good as people say it is in my opinion. I do not think it is a masterpiece…
Yes it looks good. Gunfights are satisfying too. But the world felt a bit empty even though there is a lot to do. The city in watch dogs 2 had more life in it than night city.
Some characters are very well written but as soon as you start liking them they die… it was a bit hard losing Jack and I knew only afterwards that I could save Takemura… and I wish I could have romanced Judy.

Only a few characters are good to you… most of the time people just want to use you pretending to help you. But as soon as you do what you promised to do they throw you under the bus. I don’t like being taken for a fool so I killed them. This Is how I dealt with the Haitians. As a Caribbean myself I was glad to see people like me in a big game. So I was more incline to do the things as they say. What a mistake! They played me so I shot them and I’m sure I lost an interesting part of the game. Also I was happy when Takemura killed Deshawn.

Now Johnny, this guy is just an other asshole also trying to make you do what only him wants, but he’s always with you. Interrupting dialogues. I had a hard time liking him. I started liking him only 2 hours before the end.

I wish I could know when I made a crucial decision (like in dragon age games for example).

Still I enjoyed the game and it’s world. Will surely play the DLC and maybe an other playthrough to have a better end later.

Story mode super entertaining but interactions with NPCs and with the world could be better, but considering how it was launched the game is super fluid nowadays and I just had some minor bugs. Appreciate the focus and determination of CDPR on fixing the game, 8.5/10.

For the rating, I will say that I am a massive fan of the Cyberpunk genre, which probably influences my enjoyment of the game.

I have always enjoyed this game immensely, even through the original rough launch. The main story is strong (assuming you can handle Keanu Reeves being a main character) and has excellent writing/dialogue. Every mode of combat feels satisfying. Side quests, like previously in the Witcher 3, are often as compelling as the main game. If you're a graphics 'hound', the path tracing mode for this game is breathtaking, elevating a 4 year old game to still be one of the best looking games around (helped by the Cyberpunk setting certainly, very suitable for path tracing).

The ending of the main story, both the 'Star' and 'Devil' endings particularly, got to me, leaving me with the same hollow feeling you get after finishing a great book.

I played this game partially at launch when it was a mess. I revisited it again and loved finishing it. The environments in this game, particularly the city, are just out of this world. They truly feel real. I will say, my fundamental understanding of how to progress in ANY game is somewhat limited, I'm still learning how to ACTUALLY play video games. That being said, I completed the game without doing any sort of upgrades to weapons or cybernetics or anything of consequence. If I play again this should probably be something to focus on.
