Story and graphics are excellent, cannot be faulted. I'm not into cowboy stuff but it was still a fun time. However I am disappointed by a few things. Firstly the missions are just straight-up linear. I feel like the entire time I'm just going somewhere, hearing some dialogue, getting in a fight, and going somewhere else. In one mission the developers must have spent days implementing the ability to run a detonation cord so you can blow up a railway or something. But what does it add to the gameplay? Why didn't they instead spend those resources designing the mission so that you get to decide on the best place to ambush the train?
The game also has so many different things packed into it, that the developers decided to make none of it important, just in case the player didn't know about it. Even the damn items are not important. I played through the entire story not bothering to upgrade weapons or stock up on items, and it didn't matter. So why have them in the game? In GTA3, it's generally a good idea to take a moment between missions to go and heal and buy some weapons if you need them. If you didn't prepare for the mission, it could go badly. When did it become a sin to let the player fail a mission if they didn't prepare for it?
It feels like Rockstar really wanted to tell a nice story they were working on, and then just crammed all the other stuff in there. Everything about the game is brilliant except the game bit.

It was a slow burn. It took a few attempts to make it past Act 2. But when the story got going, I couldn’t pull myself away. Really the pinnacle of open world gameplay. I don’t think we’ll see something of this caliber again.
Arthur’s story is great, and the epilogue is a great treat for fans of RDR1. I wish the game gave us more agency to kill less, as the mountain of bodies we leave behind on each mission does seem at odds with the regret & redemption themes of the game. But it’s a Red Dead game, and it’s the Wild West. It is what it is.

If I had to sum up Red Dead Redemption 2 in one word, it'd be "Masterpiece". Undoubtedly, this is one of the most breathtaking titles from the last decade, and dare I say, of the last gaming generation. Rockstar has crafted a narrative so rich, so deep, that I found myself teary-eyed on more than one occasion.I won't lie to you, the first 8-10 hours can be a bit tedious, but be patient, it's the moment when you start to get to know all the characters, you get used to them, it's at that moment when your brain "clicks" and you get totally hooked on this great adventure. Again, of course, you have to be very patient and take the game very, very slowly. It's a game to have as a "main game" and, in parallel, play other, somewhat lighter games, but I promise you that it will be worth it.
From sprawling plains to the minutiae of daily life, every element in RDR2 has been designed with an overwhelming love and attention to detail. Riding into the sunset, braving the elements, or just interacting with the diverse in-game characters; every moment is a visual and narrative treat.
Again, in over 30 years of playing video games, there have only been 2 titles that have managed to make me cry, and one of them has been Red Dead Redemption 2. It's great when a video game manages to get you to feel these kinds of deep emotions.
Nearing perfection, with a world so vivid it sometimes feels more real than reality itself, Red Dead Redemption 2 is more than just a game: it's an experience every gaming enthusiast must dive into.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Because there aren't more stars to give.

One of the most emotionally impactful stories in gaming, with a compelling protagonist in Arthur Morgan who truly grows as a person over the course of the story. Also has one of the greatest open worlds ever made, which perfectly captures what you want in a Wild West cowboy story. Also you can feed Klansmen to alligators if you want.Only not 100% because of Chapter 5.

The story is great, but the world is way too big for its own good, takes 10 minutes to get from point A to point B and that's not a problem from the beginning to chapter 5 but after you've explored everything it becomes such a drag to traverse the world seeing the same things, taking an hour horse ride to get anywhere, some side missions like hunting, fossils and the time traveler are just straight up rockstar trying to stack playtime, if you're not a completionist you're probably gonna have a better time than i did, Arthur is the best protagonist I've ever seen in a video game and his story is phenomenal but the game itself is a 7.5 at best imo Story: 10/10

Updated 1.5 Weeks Ago

Najbardziej szczegółowa graWitamy w najbardziej szczegółowym dzikim zachodzie i grze.
Strzelanie
Strzelanie z broni to historia sama w sobie. Możesz je spersonalizować do swoich preferencji.
Red Dead Redemption 2 10/10

i have never played the original red dead to completion and seeing just how good this game was both story wise and mechanically i may never do so.The truth is the story does drag on espically when you end chapter 6 but everything leading up to that is great. i actually enjoyed the guarma section of the game i love the shooting. Closest feel i can get to the movie of django and i love that.
the honor system is really wack tbh and the weapons degrade to fast imo but the deepness of a game like this comes with these smaller woes that you dont much think about otherwise.
Playing on steam deck after original beating game on xbox series x gives me another view of the game as i had to put graphics aside mostly but even on lower graphical settings the game still looks great and the pain and happiness the characters go through still feels very real. Sucks that some get thrown to the wayside but all in all its Arthurs story to see through and im glad to be seeing it unfold once again.

The heavy animation priority made it control like shit at 30 fps on consoles. On PC, it's much more responsive and on mouse it's actually fun to shoot instead of the auto targeting stuff you get on controller. It's honestly incredible that small little encounters around the open world can have their pleasant little story's or sometimes even blow up into something bigger. I feel like I want to see every little encounter and the proper side quests. It always stays interesting. First time I played it, I tried to go fast so I ended up having a bad time. It's clear you have to meet the game on its own terms. The NPC system is brilliant. Especially with the gang. It's incredible how dialogue is prepared for basically any decision you make against NPCs. The least interesting part is definitely the gameplay during the main missions, just basic cover shooter stuff.Updated 3 Weeks Ago

RED DEAD 2 IS AWESOMEVery good and memorable story, great characters, perfect gameplay, ABSURD GRAPHICS, ABSURD SOUNDTRACK. This game has it all.
The story is about redemption as the name of the game says, Arthur searches for his redemption after some sad events and depending on YOU he finds it or not...
The characters are very good although I think there was a mistake in the personalities of those who appeared in RDR1, like Javier who here is calm and focused and in the other he is stupid and silly. But I think that with the passage of time they could change, right? I don't know.
The gameplay is very good, very nice to play, at first I found it a bit slow but now I find it smooth. It has good weapons, the weapon mechanics are good too which helps with immersion. The only annoying thing is that they don't equip automatically, FUCK, I HAVE TO GO ON MY HORSE TO GET A SHOTGUN EVERY TIME, I JUST HAVE TO STAY THERE ON ARTHUR'S BACK, FUCK. The hunting system was taken to another level, totally new and unique. Each animal has its own way of being shot, whether with a small arrow, another with regular rifles, others with .22. The hunting system is really innovative, even though I didn't enjoy it that much.
The soundtrack is good but it's not that memorable, only in special moments we have something epic. But in general it's good because you can hear the sound of nature from the animals, from every little piece of land that is around you.
The graphics are beautiful and well detailed, the facial expressions, the forest, the animals, EVERYTHING is really beautiful and look, I played in 1080P hahaha.
That's it, a great game, it has everything a player looks for in a game.
• Story 10/10
• Gameplay 9.9/10
• Graphics 10/10
• Soundtrack 8.5/10

Red Dead Redemption 2 easily is one of the best and most memorable video games I have ever experienced. Rockstar Games are true titans of the gaming industry that produce titles of such quality and scale that no one is still capable of replicating them whole 6 years later, but it's obviously not without some flaws.Visuals 6 years later are still unmatched; the Rage Engine is praiseworthy, creating stunning landscapes that just feel like real-life locations. The game always gets the story moving to different locations with every chapter, making the environment always change and not get tedious over time. Character designs and models are beautiful and memorable.
Narrative is an absolute highlight of RDR2, well written, filled with a big cast of unique and well-developed characters you interact with extensively, and of course Arthur Morgan—such an enjoyable character to follow. I don't think anyone can say they didn't enjoy playing as him, a charming badass with a heart of gold acted to perfection by Roger Clark. The main story is really good with a lot of standout moments, but it does suffer from some glaring pacing issues; for example, chapter 5, although a fun adventure, is in retrospect completely unnecessary and hinders the enjoyment from the main narrative, as well as part 1 of the epilogue. It's sweet fan service but hits the momentum quite hard. Otherwise everything is excellent, with chapter 2 being my favorite due to how still hopeful it is.
Mission design sadly did not change at all with this title; it's highly linear, and it punishes you every time you go off the beaten path, which makes you at times more focused on figuring out how Rockstar wants you to act instead of enjoying the mission itself to the fullest. But the missions themselves still have that GTAV writing to them; every single one is a short, unique, and memorable episodic adventure, a big step up from RDR1. Side quests are on the same quality level as the main story missions, all worth interacting with, some even providing changes to some important story moments.
Gameplay is probably the most divisive aspect of RDR2. It's designed to be highly realistic; every movement and interaction has a unique, well-crafted animation, at times making the process rather slow, which personally was not an issue during the first playthrough, but it gets tiresome on repeat playthroughs, and console versions still having a 30fps cap does not help it. Combat, though I found to be rather satisfying, guns feel really good to use, punchy; some design elements, like kill camps, returned from Max Payne 3, which I found quite exciting. Enemies have an extensive gore system; shooting one with a shotgun can produce quite a mess. The animations of them falling over and clutching wounds look impressive.
Customization is quite extensive, with a lot of options for all elements of clothing, ranging from hats to boots and holsters; every weapon can be designed to look unique for you. Crafting is also extensive, with hunting and herb gathering. You can both create and cook food, new types of ammunition, new outfits, and accessories that are unique and can't be bought; they need to be earned.
Open World itself, compared to the main story structure, feels like a different video game; it actually gives you all the freedom you want with extensive exploration that includes hunting, fishing, herb gathering, treasure hunting, homestead robbing, and more. Open world design is something I greatly appreciate in RDR2; the world map is filled with huge amounts of unique interactions, locations, mysteries, and secrets. It makes previous titles from Rockstar feel absolutely barren in comparison. Here is a tip: if you go some distance off a big city or a settlement and see a location on your map depicted as a square of some sort of shapes, it's probably some location of interest that can give you some sort of an adventure or some good items.
The soundtrack is also praiseworthy, with a large amount of amazing tracks, both themes and vocal performances. Unshaken and That's The Way It Is are some standouts of the bunch.
To sum up, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an exciting and deep adventure with a lot of things to do, packed with amazing narrative and storytelling, but a big focus on realism and dated mission design can be a turn-off for some, especially in this day and age with people having quite low attention spans. The game is excellent, but nothing is perfect after all; it's definitely worth giving it a chance; you just might love it as much as I did.

Absolutely amazing! Arthur is one of the characters in fiction I have connected to the most, John is high up there too. I just wish the ludonarrative dissonance wasn't so bad. Every mission mowing down dozens of people. Yet in the story I am meant to connect with Arthur's remorse. I managed to see past this, but still an issue. There is no point to the camp. It is a shame, wasted potential. It could be used to incentivize interacting with the world.
The economy is ridiculous. I make enough money to solve the problem trying to be solved throughout the story.
There is no incentive for being bad. In fact, if you decide to take the low honor route, the ludonarrative dissonance will be insane because your honor barely impact the story.
The wanted system sucks. The witness system has potential, but it doesn't get used properly and the rules are ridiculous.
Robberies are a great idea and have a ton of potential. However, the wanted system fucks it all up.
A survival system would be great. Shame it never got added.

While the game is almost entirely a 50/50 split between long horseback rides and mindlessly easy shootouts, some even being duck behind cover and pop out to shoot a bit which I don't like at all, this game never got boring and kept me engaged and excited to see what happened next for the whole runtime. I marathoned this game like a darn TV show in 4 days flat, epilogue and all. What an insane ending, also screw calling the epilogue an epilogue, that was some of the most exciting and important story beats out of the entire game and I almost SKIPPED it for crying out loud.

It is an undeniable masterpiece. The story is just fucking perfect. Red Dead doesn’t need any form of adaption for films or TV shows this is already cinema, even running low graphics everything this is one of the best games I have looked at. Making one of these wouldn't give the same feelings.
Open world is done so damn fucking good to make the world feel so alive. Loads of different events, never once experienced a repeat of an event. Side quests are all fun to go through and distinct from one another.
There isn’t much more to say than what you’ve already heard. Amazing story, world, character and gameplay. This should have won the 2018 game of the year.

Red Dead Redemption 2 - Review (100/100)Red Dead Redemption 2 is more than just a game it’s an unparalleled masterpiece that transcends the medium. Rockstar Games has crafted a world so rich, so detailed, that it feels like stepping into a living, breathing piece of history. Every aspect of this game, from the narrative to the open world design, is a triumph, setting a new standard for interactive storytelling.
Pros:
Unrivaled Open World:
The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is nothing short of breathtaking. From the snow-covered mountains to the lush swamps, each environment is painstakingly detailed. The sense of immersion is unparalleled, with dynamic weather, wildlife, and day-night cycles that all feel natural and alive. Whether you're hunting, fishing, or simply exploring, the world constantly invites you to get lost in it.
The Storytelling:
At the heart of this epic is a story about loyalty, betrayal, and the decline of the Wild West. Arthur Morgan’s journey is emotional, poignant, and profoundly human. The game’s writing is top-tier, weaving together character development, moral dilemmas, and high-stakes drama in ways that few games have ever managed. Each chapter feels like a cinematic masterpiece, with moments of humor, heartbreak, and tension that stay with you long after you put the controller down.
Characters That Live and Breathe:
The characters in Red Dead Redemption 2 are its beating heart. The Van der Linde gang feels like a real family, full of flawed, multi-dimensional people who make you care deeply about their fates. Arthur Morgan himself is one of the most well-written protagonists in gaming, with a complex arc that unfolds in a meaningful and satisfying way.
Immersive Gameplay Mechanics:
The attention to detail in the gameplay systems is astonishing. Every action feels purposeful, from the way Arthur maintains his gear to the methodical, satisfying process of hunting. The new additions, such as the camp system, where you help maintain the gang’s survival and morale, give the game an extra layer of immersion and investment.
Stunning Visuals and Cinematics:
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a technical marvel. The animation, facial expressions, and lighting are jaw-droppingly realistic. The cutscenes are cinematic in the best way possible—smoothly blending gameplay and narrative while showcasing the game’s impeccable direction.
Side Activities and Attention to Detail:
It’s not just the main story that shines. The game is full of side content that feels just as meaningful as the main quest. Whether it’s playing poker, breaking horses, or finding hidden treasures, every activity is expertly designed and provides further context to the world. The level of detail is staggering—nothing feels like filler.
A Truly Evolving Experience:
The pacing and evolution of the world are seamless. As Arthur’s journey progresses, so too does the environment and the dynamic systems within it. The bond you form with your horse, the relationships you build with NPCs, and the gradual shift in the story all make this an experience you want to live through, not just play.
Cons:
If we’re nitpicking, the game’s pace can be slow at times, especially in the early chapters. But this deliberate pacing is integral to the experience, and it never feels like a wasted effort.
Final Thoughts:
Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a game it’s an experience that will stick with you long after you’ve completed it. It’s a world to lose yourself in, a story to feel deeply, and a game that redefines what interactive storytelling can be. Rockstar has created a timeless classic that will be remembered as one of the greatest games ever made.
Final Verdict: 100/100. A flawless masterpiece that elevates the medium to new heights.
