Surprisingly, mine shrunk; however, I took a few retired games and gave them another whirl, and happily saw their credits roll.

Thanks for all of these! I'd gladly take "Ryse: Son of Rome" off your hands, if it's still available.

Not sure if I should categorize it under Gaming or Off-Topic, but assuming it's got to do with mental health to some extent I'll choose Off-Topic.
I'm a frequent buyer of a lot of different games. I'm still relatively young at 22 years of writing, so my tastes and impressions differ pretty quickly. Even when I was just turning 16 and being able to have an income, I'd spend it pretty quickly on games.
Now that huge library haunts me, and I've got a bunch of games that I already own, backlogged, hoping to one day see the credits roll, maybe even 100% if I truly love the game/mechanics/concept.
Unfortunately, it seems younger-me was pretty wild and presumptuous in the things he/I liked. I have plenty of games that I throw the towel into after about 1-4 hours of playing just because I constantly think "Man, I could spend my time playing something better than this". I retire games A LOT, which makes me feel indecent because I feel like I don't give my games an honest try; at the same time, the thought and act of playing those kind of games exhausts me.
Are there others with the same-ish type of feeling/thought as me? How do you deal with it?

I was looking for a long-term way to log my game times and track what games I owned/completed/played/disliked. One option was Backloggd, but the website design felt messy to me - personal taste. HLTB's more structured design helped me to quickly sort my games, especially thanks to being able to look up my steamID to hotkey my games into different parts. I'm sticking around and socializing with a few members now (thanks to the wonderfully active Discord) and hope to see HLTB run forever; worst-case, I get to export a CSV for future-proofing.

Been crazy over this artist for a while, with this song being my current favourite. I will now proceed to loop it 50 times and get sick of it.

Oh heck, so that's where I got it. I was complaining that it was a re-run, but now I'm pretty sure I also picked it up thanks to Amazon Prime Gaming. I haven't even seen gameplay of it, but maybe I'll get around to booting it up some day.

One game at a time VS Multiple games at a time.

I'm one of the very rare species that plays multiple games at a time.
Playing the same game for weeks on end is exceedingly painful to me, especially now after I recently finished Tales of Berseria, which took me in a (somewhat rushed) main story playthrough about 40+ hours.
If I wouldn't alternate my games every now and then (even when it's something like one or two levels of DUSK or Hi-Fi RUSH inbetween), I'd lose my motivation and drive to tackle my backlog and gaming in general.
Usually I restrict myself to about 4-5 games at most, depending on game size. However, I'd also consider myself someone who retires/drops games more frequently than the average person.
I really admire people that have the perseverance and passion to finish one game at a time.
