There are shared team members among these companies, so they often have a similar design philosophy of making nonviolent RPGs with imaginative social sim mechanics.

I have looked up Chibi-Robo & Chulip and other games from Love-de-Lic, skip Ltd, and Vanpool. Unfortunately I don't have the console required for most of their games. I could pirate and emulate the games but I would prefer not to (atm). The games I can play on switch are Moon: Remix RPG Adventure & the Kirby games (Super Kirby Clash, Kirby Fighters 2, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe.)

Moon: Remix RPG Adventure has piqued my interest. Can you tell me more about it (if you have played this game.)
Edit: I see the game is still in your backlog. But you are hyped for it being on the switch. The original must have a large enough following for it to get a remix.

Right now I am craving some physics puzzles (like portal). Also waiting for Sable to go on sale.

This one is a bit more sci-fi than fantasy, but Sable is a game I recently played.

It takes place on a desert planet. There’s no combat, the main gameplay comes from exploration of large structures, and some light puzzles.

I don't like the art style of Sable. It makes the desert planet feel even more deserted: gives me an empty feeling.
But now this game is on my radar for your recommendation.

Edit: I think I'll pick up and try the game when it goes on steam sale.

Eastshade is a lovely game where you play as a painter and sell your paintings for quests and progression in the game.

I've watched One Piece Live Action. Never in all my time did I think it was possible to make a good live action adaptation. OP proved me wrong.

Hunter x Hunter Vol. 5 - not sure if it counts as reading. My sister bought me the entire HxH manga volumes.

Still haven't finished reading Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece - the trojan war part is so tedious.

Jigokuraku ( Hell's Paradise ) - Neat little anime.

I keep rewatching Magi and HxH clips on youtube.

I have never played D&D (have no one to play with.)
I watch High Rollers DnD (a group of people that livestream their DnD games.)

I believe that the universe has it's own 'justice' or 'balance' system. Every upside comes with a downside and every downside comes with an upside.

I recommend OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) it's the best recording software I ever used and it's free.

For editing I recommend VEGAS Pro (you can get it cheap on humble bundle sales) or Wondershare Filmora.

For converting I recommend Movavi Video Converter.

Portal 1 & 2 (to get used to controlling a character.)
Pokemon (does not punish the player for failing.)
Any multiplayer fighting game or racing game to play with a friend (who is also new to gaming.)

A friend from college told me to get the 'orange box' from steam sale and hyped up steam. Before that I was more of a physical disk only type of person.

I also haven't finished Skyrim. One of the Main Quest NPC bugged out and I can't continue the main quest because he/she never spawns.

I really like sea of thieves but I can't control my spendings in games with microtransactions.

Replaying Octopath Traveler I (first one). I never managed to beat the dark god.

I hate retiring a game or book I picked up. Once I start something, I have to finish it.

After reading the replies. I realise I'm just burnt out on the open-world genre and triple A space.

I'll take a break from gaming for a week or 2 and watch some anime. Probably watch Jojo and Fairy tail.
I'm also interested in learning about greek mythology.

I was playing Hogwarts Legacy today and I realized that I am not enjoying video games as much as I used to. Every new 'AAA' game feels like a rehash of older games. Using revelio in HL is the same as using witcher sense in Witcher games and using detective vision in batman games. Incendio is literally Igni. Protego is literally Quen. Depulso is literally Aard. Did the flying around (broomstick/quidditch) quests today and it felt like Harry Potter PS2 video game or Superman 64. Every part of gameplay just feels like something taken from other games. The best I can describe HL is like its a beautiful blond bimbo - nice to look at but no substance on the inside. All the secret areas in the game just reward you with some gold in a chest or a piece of gear in a chest. Nothing to get excited over.

Flying around on a broomstick should be fun but I get ptsd from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban video game's superman 64-like Hippogriff flying challenge. Flying through those gold rings in my nightmare.

Only games I am not burnt out on are roguelike and soulslikes. Games where I make incremental progress by dying over and over and getting better at the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming out in few months. I was so excited for it few years ago but now I am dreading it. Open world games feel like a chore: A list of things to do just to pad out time.

Anyone else experienced burn out? how do you deal with it?
